This Privacy Policy describes how Sideout ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you use the Sideout application and related services (the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

When you use Sideout, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Your name and email address (from your sign-in provider).
• Profile Information: Profile photos you upload, your display name.
• Activity Data: Team names, game scores, tournament results, and other content you create within the App.
• Photos: Photos you share within the App, including any tags or metadata.
• Device Information: Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications), device type, and operating system.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the Services, including features used and time spent.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
• Display your profile, game history, and activity to your crew and tournament members.
• Send push notifications you've opted into (game updates, tournament alerts, etc.).
• Respond to your comments, questions, and requests.
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with the Services.
• Detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities and protect the rights and property of Sideout and others.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your information may be visible to other members of your crews and tournaments within the App. We use the following third-party services to operate:

• Firebase (Google Cloud): Authentication, data storage, hosting, and cloud functions.
• Apple/Google Push Notification Services: Delivery of push notifications to your device.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited time after deletion.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase's built-in security rules, and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Children's Privacy

Sideout is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, through the App. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
